We have designed our planer masts and retrieval reels to be the most durable product available on the market. Every piece of aluminum is machined and crafted from solid aluminum and anodized to military specs.
We encourage our customers to research other manufacturers very closely before purchasing. Other companies claim to construct their equipment from aluminum but this qualifies only to the tubular mast; we are the only company that uses a solid planer board mast pole and manufacture our reels, clutch knob, pulleys and all mounting brackets from billet aluminum. These same manufacturers use plastic reels, plastic clutch knobs and plastic pulleys which can fatigue and crack from UV exposure and torque.
With a little research you will soon find when comparing a Cisco Planer Reel to a different manufacturer...there is no comparison at all!
